Michael Gilbert is known for his creative mind and eye. His primary media is metal although on occasion he combines wood and stone to fashion his inventions. He utilizes a laser-cutting product along with welding and forging to construct his works of metal wall art and metal art sculptures. He also burnishes and colors steel with a torch to produce his metallic art pieces. Michael has created unique metal art projects for Armand Bayou Nature Center, Clear Lake Art Alliance, NASA and many other businesses in southeast Texas. His works of art include, but are not limited to: metal fish, metal birds and other wildlife, furniture and lamps, metal garden art and yard art, sand pendulums and mirrors, modern and contemporary art, and various custom pieces.
