Gilber M. Levy was educated in New York and Texas universities in Fine Art and Architecture. He has participated in many group shows in the past 15 years in public and private exhibitions. He has also shown in 25 one-man shows in Canada, France, Hong Kong, Israel, Nederland, Sweden, UK and the US, the last being at Deutser Gallery in Houston Texas.
Articles about his work and reviews of exhibitions have appeared in national and international art magazines and other publications. “Levy’s incomparable technique combines many masters artists style, in full color juxtaposed in new and innovative situation” (Nu Image, Autumn 2001). “Levy’s Images were rendered with such expressive rectitude that they were transformed into eternal truths” (INFORM, Sept. 2001). “Levy’s paintings associate with the idea that good art should have the effect of cultural continuity, of ideas and values that passes from generation to generation” (Direct Art, Fall 2001). Levy has also appeared on the T.V. networks NBC, CBS, ABC, and FOX (Sep. 2003), and featured in the Houston Chronicle.
For the past several years, Levy has dedicated his art to new themes that are focused on love affairs and current issues that intermingle with controversial topics.
