Having lived on a coast  most of my life, I have very much been inspired by water and its inhabitants and nature in itself. This shows up in most of my work as a potter.  My work is mainly done using the RAKU process. I use slabs of clay in  hand building my pieces. I enjoy making  fantasy fish of which my designs come from my scuba diving experiences from the Caribbean, Indonesia and South Pacific. I incorporate these designs onto wall hanging fish, Plates, bowls and other decorative objects. Other subjects of nature such as birds, lizards and frogs etc. are also incorporated into my work.

For 17 years I was a member of the Houston Potters Guild, and over 25 years (and counting) with Salt Grass Potters—a group of local potters from the Clear Lake and Galveston County areas. I8 Hands Gallery on 19 th st in the Heights carries some of my fish. I have had my work at various times in different local  galleries from Houston to Galveston, along with doing shows such as Artoberfest in Galveston and Rockport Festival in the past, among others.
